SULTRY SALSA!

On Saturday 23rd September, BEMAC proudly opened its doors to Brisbanite’s wishing to soak up the sultry rhythms and moves that only Salsa can inspire!

Those who wanted to know how it’s really done, joined Rico, of Rico’s Salsa Club, for a “how to” on Salsa dance moves. The workshop was a huge success, with nearly 30 couples taking advantage of this fantastic workshop.

The BEMAC carpark was beautifully transformed in a Salsa hub, and DJ Elkin’s groovy tunes set the Salsa scene early in the night. The dance floor filled quickly as the Oz Latin Brothers took to the stage. This youthful, energetic band, playing their first gig at BEMAC, soaked in the energy from the audience. They delivered a hot and wonderful performance.

The second group, Raza Latina set the dance floor on fire and delivered a truly awesome show. Few were left in their seats, and those that watched were entertained with the colour and passion of Salsa.

Rico and his dancers strutted their stuff and left the audiences with
dropped jaws as the heat rose. Event organiser.

Rico's Salsa Club was happy to support and be part of BEMAC's
energetic and exciting Salsa Under the Bridge 2006 festival last Saturday.
It was great to see many regular and new dancers getting into the hot Latin spirit and enjoying the sensational music of the Oz Latin Brothers and Raza Latina!

Congratulations to Rico's Salsa dancers for a spicy performance.

BEMAC organisers say the event was a huge success and hope that this major annual fundraiser has welcomed back BEMAC members, and embraced new ones.
